2006年に初めて制作された曲の最後の音をループさせる「end loop」のアイデアを引き継ぎ、今回のカセットテープ「End Loop wink」も同じ手法を採用しています。「wink」というテーマで構成され、パチパチ弾けるノイズ音を意識的に使い、傘に当たる雨音、工事現場の音、パソコンのクリック音、さらには現在も世界で鳴り響く銃声など、さまざまなイメージを呼び起こす試みがなされています。このカセットテープは2024年の個展「wink」のために制作されました。

 “end loop wink” is a continuation of the technique used in “end loop”, a cassette tape released in 2006.  “end loop” was composed of minimal looping pieces, based on the last fade out/note of pre-existing recorded music. The theme “wink” applies the same techniques as “end loop” to evoke a variety of images such as: the sound of rain hitting umbrellas, construction sites, crackling noises, computer clicks, or even, the sound of gunshots still ringing around the world today. This cassette tape was created for the 2024 solo exhibition entitled “wink”.
